- PU Letters Exemption
Previously, we have shared the two Chinese visa categories for which the PU letter is exempted: Z (Work) and S1/S2 (Family Reunion) visas. If you would like to know more details, please click on the following link: https://www.serviceonnewgrounds.com/pu-letter-china-entry-2022/
30th Jun 2022 – China Embassy in Italy, France, UK, and Singapore announce a further adjustment for Chinese visas: PU letter is no longer required to apply for China business M visa.
Purpose: Economic, Trade, Scientific or Technological
Apply for M-visa
Option 1: Company invitation letter + WHO-approved vaccination certificate
Family accompanies: Not available
Difficulty level: Easy (available at the Chinese Consulate in Italy, France, UK, and Singapore)
Or
Option 2: PU letter (business) + WHO-approved vaccination certificate
Family accompanies: Not available
Difficulty level: Still difficult
This means that all you need is an invitation letter from your Chinese partner or company if you are from the listed 4 countries (Italy, France, UK, and Singapore). With this letter and a certificated vaccination token, you can apply for a short-term business visa easily. Hopefully, it will be opened to more and more countries in the near future.
- Quarantine Time Shorten
Another great news on the same day is that Shanghai adjusts COVID-19 management and control measures for key groups including inbound travelers starting from 00:00 on 30th Jun 2022.
Shanghai will adjust the disease management and control measures for key groups including inbound travelers as follows in light of the requirements proposed by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council in the Protocol on Prevention and Control of COVID-19 (Edition 9) for further improvement of disease containment across the city, according to the announcement released by the Office of Shanghai Municipal Leading Group on Preventing and Controlling COVID-19.
Optimized and adjusted the duration to “7+3”
Close contacts of COVID-19 cases and inbound travelers will be subject to “7 days of centralized isolation medical observation + 3 days of home quarantine” instead of “14 days of centralized isolation medical observation + 7 days of home quarantine”.
